About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the communities. Work must follow safety standards and predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support site business goals and objectives. The position interacts directly with residents and requires a customer-centric mindset.

The technician handles common apartment repairs and supports the Maintenance Supervisor with work orders, unit turns, preventive maintenance, and other assigned duties. The role also requires following management’s dress code and safety procedures, completing work orders electronically and manually, and maintaining the maintenance shop’s inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in resident maintenance.
• Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, appliance repair, electrical work, and other typical apartment repairs.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts; responding courteously to questions and requests; and calmly addressing and resolving customer problems.
• Dependability and reliability in following through with responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Availability for emergency on-call rotation as required.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC certification preferred.

Responsibilities
