About The Position

Pickering & Company is looking for a Multi-Family Residential Maintenance Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate must be a team player with Multi-Family Apartment Maintenance experience, capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and excellent customer service skills are essential. Experience in carpentry, general maintenance, HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing is required. CPO and CFC Certifications are also required, or the willingness to obtain these licenses within a deadline after commencing employment. Weekends and on-call duties are required. Requirements

Multi-Family Apartment Maintenance experience
Carpentry experience
General maintenance experience
HVAC experience
Electrical experience
Plumbing experience
CFC Certification (or willingness to obtain)
CPO Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to work weekends
Ability to be on call
Strong work ethic
Dependability - regular attendance required and expected
Ability to lift objects that weigh more than 10lbs
Ability to withstand sometimes strenuous tasks
Dependable and reliable transportation
A valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Maintain community grounds clean and free of trash
Complete all work in a timely manner without sacrificing quality of work
Maintain resident retention through preventative maintenance, work orders and turns
Maintain and track all community assets
Respond to all after-hour emergency calls
Respond to resident service calls in a timely manner
Use of electronic devices for the tracking and logging of work orders and daily email management
Maintain professional behavior and effectively communicate with vendors and residents
Develop plans to improve efficiency
