About The Position

A growing food manufacturer is hiring a Maintenance Technician for its expanded liquid processing plant in Monroe, Wisconsin. The technician handles operational, utility, and maintenance issues throughout the facility during the night shift. The company promotes from within. The schedule is 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on a rotational schedule; training hours may vary. Pay starts at $29.50 per hour and increases to $33.00 per hour after six months, with continued growth. A $1 per hour night differential is offered.

Requirements

At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Desire to learn and demonstrate initiative.
Ability to pass forklift certification.
Ability to work well on a team or independently.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; the employer will not provide sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

2 to 3 years of maintenance experience is preferred.
Experience in a food processing plant is ideal.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on buildings and equipment.
Monitor equipment pressures and flow rates.
Monitor boiler performance and water and air quality.
Maintain preventive maintenance logs and sanitation log records.
Perform general facility maintenance, including sanitary and structural welding.
Troubleshoot production equipment and keep management informed of potential issues.
Operate a forklift; certification is provided.
Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), permit-required confined-space, and other safety procedures.
Work with outside vendors and contractors on facility projects.
