About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician, also known as a Fix-It Pro & Property Perfectionist, to join our team. This role involves approximately 28 hours per week, with responsibilities spread across our Covington, Monroe, Athens, and Commerce and Atlanta GA storage locations. The ideal candidate is someone who notices and addresses small issues proactively, takes pride in performing quality repairs efficiently, and enjoys a variety of hands-on tasks. You should be dependable, resourceful, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while also communicating effectively with team members. Safety, organization, and maintaining property appearance are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required.
Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
A background screening will be conducted at time of hire.
For positions that involve driving, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

Complete routine maintenance and repairs across assigned properties to ensure everything is operating safely and efficiently.
Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and building-related issues.
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and inspections.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and scheduled procedures.
Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts; order materials as instructed.
Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of buildings, units, and grounds.
Communicate regularly with property teams regarding maintenance needs, budgets, and completed work.
Assist with coordinating external vendors and contractors for larger repair or capital improvement projects.
Follow all OSHA guidelines and company safety policies at all times.
