About The Position

Burkentine is seeking a Maintenance Technician to resolve maintenance issues involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair. The role also helps prepare vacant apartments for move-in, maintain the building and grounds, support community safety, and provide residents with outstanding customer service. The position includes weekend or evening work and participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies, including snow removal.

Requirements

Experience in building maintenance or education in the trades.
Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
HVAC certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
Availability for property emergencies, including an on-call rotation.
Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
Reliable personal transportation to get to work and respond to on-call emergencies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A service mentality and eagerness to learn.

Nice To Haves

A high school degree is preferred.
