Maintenance Technician

About The Position

This role mainly focuses on fluid checks and basic vehicle maintenance. The technician changes oil, checks transmission and other fluid levels, inspects belts and filters, and checks air levels and gauges. The position is with a Ford dealership and is part of a team focused on serving customers and one another.

Requirements

Knowledge of automobiles.
Ability to identify problems quickly.
Effective analytical and communication skills.
Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
Comfort operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on feet for extended periods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills.
Positive, friendly attitude.

Nice To Haves

Ford Certification is a plus.
Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus.

Responsibilities

Test systems and components to check whether they are secure and working properly.
Perform oil changes, filter changes, and recalls.
Repair or replace worn parts before they cause vehicle breakdown or damage.
Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform tasks.
Clean the shop and take out trash.
