Requirements

  • Experience in industrial maintenance, electrical, plumbing or related field.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electronically controlled equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical circuitry and can interpret schematics and use of basic electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production equipment in order to recognize and identify potential problems with equipment.
  • Basic plumbing and building maintenance skills.
  • Able to understand boiler operation and simple hydraulics.
  • Able to understand and follow company policies and procedures regarding manufacturing practices, LockOut/TagOut, Foreign Objects, Hazardous Materials, Safety and Security.
  • May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • May initiate purchase order requisition for parts and machines.
  • May schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance with outside maintenance providers.
  • Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Responsibilities

  • Observe, test, and assess the operation of machines to detect the causes of malfunction.
  • Tear down and reassemble of machines and machine components.
  • Communicate with operators and supervisors about machinery and maintenance problems.
  • Read and follow blueprints, sketches, diagrams, lubrication charts, operation manuals, and engineering specifications.
  • Examine component parts for indication of defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
  • Repair, replace, adjust, and align machinery and equipment components, using tools basic power and hand tools, welding torches, lifts and hoists.
  • Clean and lubricate machine parts.
  • Fill out and retain repair and maintenance logs.
  • Specify and order replacement parts, or if not available, may sketch the needed part and have it fabricated by a machine shop.
  • Test machines after repair to ensure proper operation of the machine or equipment.
