About The Position

HiFyve is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician! This role involves performing advanced troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, overhaul, and rebuilding of industrial production equipment. The technician will diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues, and maintain and repair various industrial equipment. Responsibilities also include leading equipment overhauls, rebuilds, installations, commissioning, and startup activities, as well as troubleshooting electrical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and fluid power systems. The role utilizes advanced diagnostic and predictive maintenance technologies, performs root cause analysis, supports equipment installations and upgrades, and collaborates with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. The technician will also lead maintenance activities during planned shutdowns, mentor junior technicians, support preventative and predictive maintenance programs, perform advanced welding, fabrication, and machining, and develop maintenance procedures. A strong commitment to safety, including OSHA and Lockout/Tagout procedures, is essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience required
  • Advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience, including motors, controls, VFDs, and high-voltage equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs and industrial automation systems
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex maintenance projects
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment, including high-temperature conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, and perform physical maintenance activities for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree, certification, apprenticeship, or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent hands-on industrial maintenance experience will be considered
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and diagnostic tools preferred
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Advanced welding, fabrication, and machining skills preferred
  • Experience leading equipment installations, major repairs, shutdowns, or overhaul projects
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train other technicians
  • Experience working with CMMS and preventative maintenance systems
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, overhaul, and rebuilding of industrial production equipment
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues
  • Maintain and repair industrial equipment including motors, pumps, compressors, furnaces, conveyors, dust collection systems, and other critical production machinery
  • Lead equipment overhauls, rebuilds, installations, commissioning, and startup activities
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment, VFDs, PLCs, and automated control systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot complex hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and fluid power systems
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic and predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic testing
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify recurring equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Support the installation, integration, upgrade, and retrofit of new production equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, safety, and uptime
  • Lead maintenance activities during planned shutdowns, major repairs, and equipment overhauls
  • Mentor and train junior maintenance technicians and mechanics
  • Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs using CMMS systems
  • Perform advanced welding, fabrication, and machining to repair or modify equipment and components
  • Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, SOPs, repair documentation, and equipment records
  • Follow and enforce OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and all applicable safety procedures
  • Participate in safety audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
