Maintenance Technician – JLL What this job involves: The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the physical integrity and operational excellence of our facilities. This position performs diverse skilled and semi-skilled tasks across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Through proactive maintenance, timely repairs, and strong problem-solving abilities, you'll ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant, and fully operational—directly supporting JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional property management services. Requirements

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with proven ability to obtain/demonstrate electrical and mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities
Ability to understand mechanical problems and solve them effectively with minimal supervision
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematic diagrams, and equipment manuals
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills
Experience performing maintenance and repairs across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC)
Ability to maintain accurate records of work orders and maintenance activities
Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various environmental conditions

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and building management systems
Experience coordinating with external vendors for specialized repair services
Knowledge of compliance requirements and facility safety standards
Previous experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance
Basic computer skills for work order management and documentation systems
HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certifications
Experience with emergency response and after-hours maintenance support

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and compliance issues across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
Complete assigned work orders and maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC support, roofing, and grounds maintenance in a timely and professional manner
Conduct preventive maintenance, evaluate equipment conditions, and make recommendations to prevent costly downtime while documenting all work activities accurately
Respond to work orders and emergency maintenance requests, including participation in shared on-call rotation for after-hours support
Troubleshoot reported problems, determine effective corrective measures, coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs, and ensure all work areas are clean upon completion
Assist in moving and placing furniture, fixtures, and equipment using proper equipment and safety standards
Follow OSHA regulations and all applicable health, safety, and environmental guidelines while reporting any unsafe situations or practices to supervisors
