About The Position
As a Maintenance Technician at Stonewall Lofts (50 units) and Southland Square (96 units) in Knoxville, TN, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere of these affordable multi-family apartment communities. You will support daily maintenance operations by completing work orders, assisting with apartment turnovers, ensuring curb appeal, and contributing to special projects. This role involves participating in an on-call rotation with the maintenance team and utilizing a range of skills including HVAC, painting, plumbing, appliance repair, electrical, carpentry, and custodial work. Your efforts will directly contribute to making a positive impact on the community and its residents.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- Ability to train, coach, and guide other maintenance personnel.
- Shared on-call with other maintenance staff is required.
- Capable of meeting all physical role requirements including navigating multi-level environments via stairs.
Nice To Haves
- Previous apartment maintenance experience is preferred.
- HVAC certification or related certifications (such as EPA) are a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Complete work orders to support day-to-day maintenance.
