This position maintains the grounds of the agency, repairs and maintains equipment, plumbing, the physical structure, and fixtures. The role also responds to emergency and security calls and inspects the building for employee security.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current, valid driver’s license in Pennsylvania
  • Minimal gardening experience
  • One year of security experience
  • English proficiency required
  • Ability to use a variety of tools, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting tools
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Honor patient confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Inspects premises for such irregularities as signs of intrusion and/or interruption of service.
  • Responds to emergency calls from security system agency. Cooperates with police and fire authorities in such emergency calls. Alerts administration (CEO/COO) of any irregularities.
  • Inspects burglar alarm and fire extinguisher sprinkler systems to ascertain they are set to operate.
  • Paints walls, floors, woodwork and fixtures of establishment using spray gun, roller, and brushes.
  • Makes and repairs counters, benches, and other wooden structures using saws, braces, bits, and other carpenter’s tools.
  • Opens clogged drains, using plunger and plumber’s tools and performs minor repairs.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys, and other parts of machines using rags, brushes, and grease gun.
  • Maintains building exterior, including lawn mowing, trimming and edging, lawn and shrubbery spraying, lawn watering, planting of grass, flowers and trees, and snow removal and salt application to sidewalks, lots, etc. in the winter.
  • Responsible for washing windows as needed –internal and external.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Participate in mandatory all staff meetings, team meetings and trainings.
