About The Position

CONAM Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an upcoming apartment property in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The technician will help maintain the operational performance and curb appeal of the community, provide superior service to residents, and support property maintenance through upkeep, repairs, and apartment turnovers. This is a full-time position with full benefits, paying $21.00–$23.00 per hour. The position participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on apartment maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliance repair, and general carpentry.
• Ability to operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment, including drills, saws, grinders, electrical testers, HVAC systems, and plumbing tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents, team members, and vendors.
• Commitment to providing exceptional resident service.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances.
• Respond to resident apartment maintenance requests involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues, resolving them promptly and professionally.
• Conduct inspections, repairs, and cleaning during apartment turnovers to prepare units for new residents.
• Maintain community curb appeal through landscaping and exterior maintenance.
• Collaborate with technicians, contractors, and property management team members to maintain the multifamily community.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance as needed.
• Comply with safety regulations and operational standards during maintenance activities.
• Perform additional duties as required.
