About The Position

Liberty Resources, a growing Syracuse-based non-profit human services agency, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated Facilities team. This position includes use of an agency vehicle, agency phone, and a competitive benefits and PTO package. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant maintenance experience required
  • Valid NYS driver’s license required
  • Reliable transportation necessary. Use of a personal vehicle may be required for regional travel.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to use computer systems for timekeeping and work order processing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with knowledge of OSHA codes, safety practices, and general electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Associate degree in a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with timely upkeep of residential and non-residential properties, including painting, cleaning, repairs, construction, and remodeling, in accordance with agency standards and National Home Builders Association guidelines.
  • Perform and document work order requests, including troubleshooting and repairing minor plumbing, mechanical, and electrical issues.
  • Support security and safety across agency properties for residents, tenants, coworkers, vendors, and the public.
  • Assist with snow removal during winter months to ensure safe access to buildings and grounds.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours and weekend emergency maintenance needs.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including interior and exterior cleaning, debris removal, lawn care (mowing and trimming), carpet cleaning, painting, sheetrock repair, woodworking, window repair, and minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
