About The Position

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technicians to support Rising View, a military housing community of approximately 2,000 homes located near Offutt Air Force Base. This is an opportunity to work in a large residential community where your maintenance skills directly impact the comfort, safety, and quality of life of military members and their families. The ideal candidate will be an experienced residential maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting problems, completing quality repairs, and providing responsive service to residents. Residential maintenance, construction, or related experience can provide a strong foundation for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of residential maintenance, construction, or related experience required.
  • HVAC certification required.
  • Strong working knowledge of residential building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and general repairs.
  • Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple work orders.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
  • Dependable and willing to participate in an on-call rotation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous multifamily or residential housing maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance work orders and service requests in residential homes.
  • Diagnose and repair a variety of residential maintenance issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, drywall, doors, carpentry, and other home systems.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to keep homes safe, functional, and well-maintained.
  • Inspect homes and identify maintenance needs before they become larger issues.
  • Prepare homes for new residents and help ensure homes are move-in ready.
  • Respond to resident concerns promptly and provide professional, courteous customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of completed work.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and established maintenance standards.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance needs as assigned.
  • Work independently while communicating effectively with the Property Management team regarding maintenance needs and priorities.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
