About The Position

ORBIS is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll maintain the equipment to accommodate production and warehousing in a safe working atmosphere. Act as front-line leaders for technical knowledge on highly complex automation or equipment problems. Maintain and repair machinery and equipment, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of new equipment. You won’t just be fixing machines — you’ll be keeping our entire operation moving. Your technical insight and proactive approach will help prevent downtime, improve safety, and support a growing, high performing team.

Requirements

Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety standards
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
2-4 years of relevant work experience
Hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting
Electrical troubleshooting
Blueprint reading

Responsibilities

Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements of all equipment.
Troubleshoot any issues of mechanical devices, correct issues to maintain productivity/quality standards.
Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts, fabricate parts when needed, adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Control downtime by communicating with all departments.
Train other employees and new hires as needed.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Participate in safety and communications meetings as scheduled.
Complete all safety and company compliance training on time and according to schedule.
Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, conserve resources when able.
Prepare maintenance reports, document, and communicate actions, irregularities and continuing needs through the use of EAM.
Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
Other duties as assigned.
