About The Position

Burnbrae Farms is a sixth-generation, Canadian, family-owned company and a leading egg producer and processor. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to conduct, maintain, test, and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. This role applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operation, providing skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.

Requirements

Technical Diploma or accredited apprenticeship program of the equivalent in a technical field.
Three (3) years of applicable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and effective communication with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Follow all required work safe practices, including lock-out tag-out, PPE, confined space safety awareness, chemical safety, and fall protection.
Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety and GMP policies/guidelines.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair high-speed manufacturing, packaging, and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, power supplies, drives, gages, and test equipment.
Make adjustments to equipment to ensure proper performance and safe operating conditions.
Assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
Advise operators and line technicians on operation procedures and requirements for safely working with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
Document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed, aiming to achieve maximum plant availability with a target of zero unplanned downtime.
Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.
Install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
Identify complex problems, review related information to develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Support and help implement continuous process improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
