About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of one of our Premier Communities. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in facilities and/or residential building maintenance
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday 8am-12pm.
  • Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS
  • A safety mindset and an eye for detail
  • A builder’s mentality (know it like you built it!)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A sharp professional appearance
  • Strong Knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite especially Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Comfort using various technology platforms, apps and computer programs
  • Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation
  • Excellent people skills, team building skills and conflict management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make sound business decisions and work effectively with little or no supervision
  • Strong Time Management skills
  • Strong Problem Solving and Conflict Management skills
  • Ability to successfully work with a wide range of personnel including vendors, personnel, office staff and all levels of management personnel
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two(2) years Facilities/Residential maintenance experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A valid Florida driver's license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Pool maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance services as needed and/or assigned.
  • Assist in a wide variety of maintenance activities.
  • Address immediate operational and/or safety concerns.
  • Assist skilled trades.
  • Ensure that tools, materials and vehicles are maintained in good working order and are available at the job site when needed.
  • Lead by example and be a role model for the standards and behaviors consistent with the core values and culture of the Company.
  • Show care and concern for our residents through timely follow up and meticulous completion of service tickets.
  • Handle all aspects of maintenance for the community.
  • Preserve the value of the community by consistently executing on preventative maintenance programs.
  • Preserve the beauty and safety of the community to include general upkeep, cleanliness, grounds maintenance, amenity maintenance.
  • Monitor and direct scheduling of all maintenance personnel and vendors to company policies and procedures.
  • Track inventory for repairs and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical systems, service requests, and report potential liability concerns or safety hazards.
  • Practice and adhere to Company Service Standards.
  • Conduct business always with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
  • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules.
  • Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as directed by the Community Manager.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and special projects as directed by the Community Manager.
