About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will work with little to no supervision to maintain and repair machinery and building systems. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing various types of equipment, installing and maintaining pipe systems, and addressing electrical issues. The technician will also be responsible for building maintenance, including plumbing and welding, and must be proficient in using the CMMS system for logging labor and parts. The position requires a willingness to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts, and to participate in an on-call program. A strong understanding of quality, PPE, and safety procedures is essential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in metal manufacturing environment
• Ability to troubleshoot preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing
• PLC experience preferred
• Experience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred
• Experience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred

Nice To Haves

• Technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with little to no supervision
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Troubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment
• Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep
• Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise
• Familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectations
• Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required
• Must participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours on off shift due to on-call program
• Understand quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.
