McKesson is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join their team at a high-volume pharmacy automation facility. This dynamic, multi-discipline maintenance role involves ensuring automated dispensing, labeling, and robotics equipment operate at peak performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of facilities engineering or industrial maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems: 460V/220V/120V AC and 24V DC circuits, motor starters, power distribution, PLC programming (ladder logic), and control circuit devices
  • Mechanical aptitude: bearing/shaft/drive alignment, belt and chain tensioning, pneumatic systems, and preventive maintenance scheduling
  • Computer proficiency: Windows OS troubleshooting, Ethernet networking, RS232/RS422 serial communications, and hardware-level diagnostics (cards, chips, I/O devices)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Discretionary, decisive, and organized thinking regarding best practices
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with extreme attention to detail
  • Flexible to meet changing business demands and situations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience interfacing with customers, employees, McKesson network, and suppliers

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational upkeep for all facility equipment, including pharmacy automation systems, office equipment, and computer systems
  • Support light construction, electrical projects, and facility infrastructure improvements
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors on facilities and equipment repairs
  • Develop and maintain an overall preventive maintenance schedule based on the requirements of each device
  • Lubricate, oil, and clean devices as specified in their maintenance manuals
  • Measure voltage and current accurately and safely; use data to troubleshoot circuits across 460V, 220V, 120V AC and 24V DC systems
  • Read electrical schematics and evaluate equipment operations based on those schematics
  • Read ladder logic, download/upload PLC programs, and troubleshoot PLC functions
  • Work with control circuits using photoeyes, solenoid valves, limit switches, indicating lights, and safety switches
  • Troubleshoot motor starting circuits and power distribution circuits
  • Align bearings, shafts, and drives; adjust tension of belts and chains
  • Identify worn or damaged parts and replace them
  • Work with pneumatic circuits involving cylinders and solenoid valves
  • Maintain printers and peripheral mechanical devices
  • Analyze cards and chips and replace if necessary
  • Troubleshoot network (Ethernet) systems, cabling, and I/O devices
  • Configure and troubleshoot Windows computers
  • Set up and analyze RS232/RS422 communications between computers and peripheral devices
  • Improve quality and efficiency on the production floor
