Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions.
  • Must have a solid organizational, analytical problem solving and communication skills.
  • Maintain good sanitation and housekeeping of work areas.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Requires regular attendance.
  • Ability to manipulate, lift and position heavy equipment
  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel and crawl, occasionally climb steps and safety ladders, continuous walking and standing
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Design, implement and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLC) and troubleshoot and maintain all electronic and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and equipment breakdowns.
  • Effectively support the PM program while keeping downtime to a minimum.
  • Perform preventative and repair maintenance on production equipment, heating and cooling systems, ingredient handling systems and plumbing systems.
  • Start machines and equipment to test operation flow repair.
  • Record preventative maintenance tasks and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Complete work orders and respond to maintenance calls on the production floor in a timely manner to prevent downtime.
  • Install, maintain, repair, and overhaul production equipment. Install and maintain electrical equipment/controls, circuits and PLC.
  • Troubleshoot and identify worn parts and rebuild machine assemblies, pumps, meters, valves, valve actuators and other equipment.
  • Safe handling and use of various chemicals with strict adherence to hazardous communication and requirements.
  • Train others as needed and able to influence others.
