VALEO North America is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing team in Hamilton, Ohio. This role supports production operations during the 2nd shift, focusing on ensuring equipment reliability, production continuity, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment issues, performing maintenance interventions, and contributing to safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.

Requirements

  • Perform simple preventive maintenance operations according to standard operating procedures and schedules.
  • Prepare and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment (electrotechnical, automated, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.).
  • Work on programmable logic controllers, robots, and manipulators.
  • Study, prepare, and perform preventive maintenance on all factory equipment.
  • Intervene on machinery to resolve simple breakdowns under the supervision of a more qualified technician.
  • Analyze failure causes and propose improvements.
  • Perform necessary modifications on equipment.
  • Resolve breakdowns autonomously.
  • Analyze and implement modifications on equipment across all technical domains.
  • Improve reliability, capacity, and maintainability.
  • Propose and implement actions to improve reliability, capacity, and maintainability using new technologies.
  • Actively participate in the maintenance workshop's 5S program.
  • Participate in QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) within their domain.
  • Update intervention tracking logs to ensure traceability.
  • Participate in daily and monthly meetings as well as improvement workshops.
  • Contribute to specifications during the receipt and commissioning of new resources.
  • Lead improvement projects, consult with subcontractors, and guarantee follow-up and results.
  • Draft and distribute assembly, disassembly, or adjustment procedures and provide training.
