About The Position

UCP Seguin is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of all agency buildings, equipment, and infrastructure. This full-time, non-exempt role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys a wide variety of maintenance responsibilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across agency homes and office facilities, ensuring systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC remain in excellent working conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade/technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of building maintenance or related experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Required training: HazCom, Bloodborne Pathogens, PPE, STF Prevention, Lockout/Tagout, and safe lifting.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics; strong problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Completing routine inspections
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
• Maintaining lighting and HVAC systems
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests
• Keeping accurate records of all work performed
• Supporting facility upgrades

• Ensuring OSHA compliance
• Representing the agency during inspections or contractor visits
• Transporting agency vehicles for service
• Performing custodial duties as needed
