About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment. This role involves analyzing equipment failures, documenting maintenance activities, performing preventative maintenance, maintaining MRO inventory, and ensuring the integrity of safety devices. The technician will also assist in the installation of new manufacturing equipment and modifications, communicate effectively with management and operators, and execute all activities safely according to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Three to ten years related experience and/or training.
  • Manual dexterity, ability to use various machines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondences.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems and diagrams.
  • Experience with engineering drawings/geometrical tolerance.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and project management skills.

  • Associate's degree or Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes equipment failures, determines root cause, and makes necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Documents maintenance activities and equipment.
  • Performs planned preventative maintenance and inspections on all plant equipment.
  • Maintains MRO Inventory.
  • Maintains integrity of safety devices including light curtains, safety gates, barriers, etc.
  • Assists in installation of new manufacturing equipment, equipment modifications, components, and processes.
  • Communicates effectively with management and with the operators in written and verbal form.
  • Executes all activities in a safe manner and follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as required.
