About The Position
Arming and disarming of the building. Building inspection (mechanical systems, washrooms, room set-ups) Extinguisher inspections Emergency eye wash station inspections Conduct scheduled maintenance such as fire pump, generator and emergency lighting testing Conduct seasonal maintenance such as snow clearing, grass cutting, trail maintenance, etc
Requirements
- Involves physical work, heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to use tools and equipment (e.g. large and small frame tractors, power tools and snow blowers)
- Must be willing to work some weekends and have flexibility with the hours of work.
- Ability to work effectively with others in teams as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have own transportation to get to Oak Hammock Marsh
- Some relevant experience would be an asset
