About The Position

A Ziegenfelder Maintenance Technician 1 supports the reliability and performance of production equipment to ensure high-quality products are consistently produced and ready for delivery. This role focuses on equipment setup, preventive maintenance, and hands-on learning in troubleshooting and repair within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in maintenance work
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work any shift as needed
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping
Strong spatial awareness when working around production equipment
Ability to work in cold environments below 32°F for extended periods with proper protective equipment
Ability to work in environments with noise levels above 85 decibels with proper protection

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain production equipment to support efficient and high-quality manufacturing
Prepare and configure machinery for scheduled production runs
Learn through hands-on training to troubleshoot mechanical systems and provide immediate corrective support to production lines, conveyor systems, and related equipment
Monitor and maintain proper fluid levels across equipment
Assist with overhauls and repairs of production machinery
Support installation of new production equipment
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to complete maintenance tasks
Step in to perform Maintenance Associate duties as needed
Follow OSHA safety and health regulations and company safety practices
Maintain responsibility for food safety and product quality standards
