Part Time Maintenance Technician - Storage Property
About The Position
We are seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician, also known as a Fix-It Pro & Property Perfectionist, to join our team. This role is approximately 24 hours per week and is ideal for someone who notices and addresses small issues before they become larger problems. The ideal candidate takes pride in fixing things correctly the first time, enjoys a variety of hands-on tasks, and is not afraid to figure things out. Dependability, resourcefulness, and ownership of work are key traits. This position requires someone practical, detail-oriented, and reliable, who enjoys working independently while also understanding the importance of clear communication and teamwork. Safety consciousness, organization, and a desire to see a well-maintained property are essential.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
- A background screening will be conducted at time of hire.
- For positions that involve driving, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
Responsibilities
- Complete routine maintenance and repairs across assigned properties to ensure everything is operating safely and efficiently.
- Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and building-related issues.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and scheduled procedures.
- Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts; order materials as instructed.
- Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of buildings, units, and grounds.
- Communicate regularly with property teams regarding maintenance needs, budgets, and completed work.
- Assist with coordinating external vendors and contractors for larger repair or capital improvement projects.
- Follow all OSHA guidelines and company safety policies at all times.
