About The Position

The Ippolito Group of Companies is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join their Maintenance team. This role supports the day-to-day operation of their production facility by maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and helping ensure the plant runs safely and efficiently with minimal downtime. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience working in a production or food processing environment, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and workplace safety.

Requirements

3–5 years of maintenance experience in a processing, CPG, food production, or similar industrial environment.
Experience working with multi-meters, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
Industrial Mechanic Millwright Trade Certification, Trade Code 433A, required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Commitment to safety, quality, and food safety standards.
Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize maintenance tasks.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience working in a food production facility or similar setting preferred.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs is an asset.

Responsibilities

Support the Maintenance and Production departments with the day-to-day functionality of equipment and production lines.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery, belts, conveyors, PLCs, motors, gearboxes, and related equipment.
Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the production plant.
Follow daily and periodic maintenance schedules to ensure equipment and facility needs are completed on time.
Complete preventative maintenance tasks to improve equipment reliability and reduce production downtime.
Follow all occupational health and safety and food safety guidelines.
Wear required personal protective equipment and follow safe work practices.
Promote a safe work environment and report unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
