About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs project work, unplanned repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility systems and production equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations. Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment used in the production process to maximize machine uptime. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed. Work with Engineers to improve performance of equipment/processes. Involved with facility related processes including HVAC, chilled water, compressed gases, and security/safety systems. Work within guidelines of facility safety system. Maintain records and complete necessary paperwork. Must furnish own hand tools. Must be capable of lifting/handling heavy parts, material, or equipment. Set priorities under general direction based on workload. Use strong inter-personal skillset to support a multitude of customers. Must be willing and able to work 2nd Shift.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma. In absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Candidates must meet physical requirements.
  • Furnish basic hand tools.
  • Hold a passing CET Associate exam score.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain forklift certification.
  • Capable of safely working on electrical systems up to 480V, instrumentation/control systems, and mechanical systems.

  • Technical/vocational training preferred.
