About The Position

Become a key player in keeping the C.W. Avery Family YMCA running smoothly and safely for our members and community! As the Maintenance Technician, you’ll be hands-on in maintaining our facility’s indoor and outdoor spaces, handling repairs, and ensuring everything is in top shape. You'll lead essential maintenance duties, inspect work, address facility needs, and take proactive measures to keep our spaces safe and welcoming. Will oversee assigned duties, inspect work, investigate complaints regarding maintenance and take corrective/preventative action. Responsibilities

• Ensure Y is attractive and things are in working order by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintaining upkeep of assigned areas and equipment.
• May perform duties such as window washing, meeting set up, pool cleaning, snow removal, groundskeeping, and other related responsibilities.
• Assist manager/director in performing minor equipment and general maintenance including, but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC.
• Implement preventative maintenance measures as needed.
• Provide inventory updates of supplies and equipment, direct/assist new employees, and monitor the safety of the facility.
• Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment.
• Records and reports all needed repairs; repairs as directed.
• Ensures YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to Manager/Director.
• Perform other maintenance/cleaning duties as assigned.
