About The Position

Cannon Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for one of its communities in Tarzana, CA. The company has been providing property management services since 1983 and currently manages over 100 properties with approximately 20,000 units. This role involves general maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs within a residential apartment setting.

Requirements

A minimum of 4 years previous residential apartment maintenance experience.
Familiarity with the maintenance demands of an approx. 300-unit property.
Extensive Plumbing experience.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm in a difficult situation.
Must be able to participate in the on-call rotation.
Must have a valid driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
Proactive, forward-thinker who demonstrates initiative to get the job done.

Nice To Haves

HVAC experience is a plus and preferred.

Responsibilities

General knowledge of drywall repair, appliance troubleshooting/repair/installation, extensive plumbing troubleshooting/repair, electrical troubleshooting/repair, basic carpentry, and tile replacement.
Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and execute appropriate repairs.
Perform initial evaluations of building systems and prioritize urgent requests.
Follow up on work orders with the Maintenance Supervisor, confirm completion, accuracy, and resident satisfaction.
Evaluate problematic systems and determine needed repairs.
Proactive approach to maintaining the property.
