Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multi-family
  • HVAC/EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling is required
  • Possess proven knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs, roofing repairs, and other general maintenance skills
  • Possess strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and exhibits pride in quality of work
  • Takes initiative and self-motivated to complete tasks at hand
  • Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends, as scheduled for on-call service requests
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local Fair Housing laws, OSHA, and EPA regulations
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Team members may be required to use their personal vehicle for business-related purposes, including obtaining parts, supplies, equipment, or responding to operational needs when a company vehicle or golf cart is unavailable. Mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the property is always well kept and maintained and immediately address any safety concerns
  • Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and the Property Manager
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, to include HVAC troubleshooting and pool maintenance, if applicable
  • Remove and transfer appliances and equipment to/from storage area to apartment as circumstances warrant and assist in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, etc. to dumpster
  • Complete all service requests within 24 hours, unless the request requires extraordinary parts or labor
  • Perform on-call emergency service requests when scheduled. When on call, emergency after-hours calls will require an immediate response and arrival at the property no more than an hour after the call is received.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, prospects, and visitors
  • Demonstrate RADCO’s value of Caring by treating residents, vendors, coworkers, and supervisors with respect and professionalism
  • May be required to transport appliances, equipment, supplies, tools, and maintenance materials throughout the community and to other designated locations as needed.
