About The Position

Echelon Property Management is seeking a dependable, skilled, and customer-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining our single-family rental homes by performing repairs, completing preventive maintenance, preparing homes for new residents, and responding to maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service. This role includes participation in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to participate in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of residential, apartment, hotel, or property maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, appliance repair, and general maintenance.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests.
  • Diagnose and resolve emergency maintenance issues, including plumbing leaks, HVAC failures, electrical outages, lockouts, and other urgent repairs.
  • Participate in a rotating after-hours and weekend on-call schedule for emergency maintenance.
  • Complete work orders accurately using property management software.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on homes, building systems, and equipment.
  • Prepare vacant homes for new residents by completing repairs, touch-ups, inspections, and ensuring homes are move-in ready.
  • Assist with grounds maintenance, irrigation systems, seasonal property upkeep, and maintaining community curb appeal.
  • Perform snow removal, de-icing, and winter weather preparation as needed.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while interacting professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.
