Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Pivotal is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide high-quality service to residents at their Burkett Place in Washington, PA and Canonsburg Senior Lofts in Canonsburg, PA. This role is crucial for maintaining the physical integrity of the community, ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment. The Maintenance Technician will be the primary contact for resident emergencies and will be responsible for routine maintenance tasks, including daily grounds pickup and unit turnovers. The company is embracing technology, and technicians will use a Maintenance Mobile app for work orders, with a stipend provided for personal smartphone use. Requirements
- 1+ years of related experience
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Commitment to regular attendance (may include weekend and OT hours)
- Ability to be “on-call” for emergencies
- Ability to receive, manage, and close work orders by using smartphone applications
Nice To Haves
- HVAC training and certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to all current and future residents
- Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24 to 48-hour expectation)
- Broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Assist with court-ordered “set-outs” when necessary
- Perform unit turnover between residents per company standards (3-5 days)
- Maintain grounds and curb appeal
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Be responsive to on-call emergencies
