About The Position

The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs industrial machinery used to convert recycled paper into corrugated boxes. The role helps keep production operations running smoothly and includes troubleshooting equipment and working with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The schedule is 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay is up to $36 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Trououbleshooting expertise with 3-phase power/electricity.
• Hands-on experience with AC/DC motors and motor starters.
• Familiarity with gearboxes and gear reducers.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
• Must have personal tools for the role.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and apply basic math concepts.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or graphic instructions and use common sense in problem-solving.
• Must regularly stand and walk, perform tasks requiring dexterity, lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance, and bend, stoop, crouch, climb, and crawl.
• Must have excellent close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception vision, and be able to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electrical instrumentation.
• Skills troubleshooting logic controllers and VFDs.
• Familiarity with boiler/steam systems, welding/fabricating, conduit bending, and machining (lathe, mill, press).
• Strong understanding of industrial safety protocols.
