About The Position

Atlantic Pacific Companies is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Technician for their Market-Rate Community, The Barrington Club, which has 145 units in Coral Springs, Florida. This is a full-time position. The Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance in individual apartments, common areas, and amenity areas. They are responsible for preparing vacant units for new move-ins, performing routine preventive maintenance, assisting in various cleaning functions, and monitoring the grounds. The role involves maintaining and repairing the physical structures of buildings and grounds.

Requirements

• High School diploma, or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of 1-2 years direct experience as a Make Ready or Maintenance Technician for an apartment community, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EPA I or II, Universal or HVAC certification is required.
• Experience maintaining pools is required.
• Must have supervisory experience.
• Thorough understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.

Nice To Haves

• CPO Certification is a plus.
• Experience with Onesite, Yardi, or other property management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs buildings, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, pools, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.
• Completes all service requests/work orders within 24 hours as directed by the maintenance supervisor or property manager.
• Completes apartment service tickets and logs all assigned work orders accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Manages vacant apartments through the turnover process, including maintenance, painting, cleaning, and carpet cleaning, to ensure they are ready for leasing.
• Replaces worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment such as trucks, street sweepers, and other maintenance department equipment.
• Assists in ordering supplies for the property.
• Cleans internal and external areas of buildings, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and washing windows.
