We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented, and dependable individual who can use their interpersonal and customer service skills to serve the elderly by performing general and advanced maintenance work in and around the property including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work. In our low-income senior living community, your job is about more than just fixing leaks and making repairs; it's about making sure our residents can live with dignity in a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained home. You will ensure development and execution of a preventative maintenance plan in conjunction with your property manager in accordance with current Policies and Procedures. Problem solving, time management, leadership, teamwork, and budgeting skills are necessary. Familiarity with computers and electronics are desired.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum 3 years of Maintenance Experience
  • HVAC certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine repairs including plumbing (leaky faucets, toilet clogs), electrical (bulb replacement, outlet repair), HVAC troubleshooting, and basic carpentry.
  • Efficiently prep vacant apartments for new residents, including painting, flooring repairs, and deep cleaning.
  • Conduct regular inspections of common areas and mechanical rooms to catch issues.
  • Maintain the property to meet local housing authority and HUD standards. Ensure all fire codes and safety regulations are strictly followed.
  • Availability for after-hours emergencies.
  • Interact with senior residents with patience and respect, often entering their homes to perform repairs while ensuring their comfort and privacy.
