Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician for Channel Square Apartments in SW Washington, DC. This is a full-time position with a fast-growing property management company based in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role is responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance, including responding to maintenance tickets, assisting with unit turnovers, and participating in an after-hours on-call rotation. Requirements
- 3+ years prior apartment maintenance experience.
- Experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Must have previous experience with apartment maintenance; ex. appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting.
- Must be able to understand and oversee work performed by contractors.
- Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times.
- Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver's license.
- Requires extensive mobility and excellent physical condition.
- Must be able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation.
Nice To Haves
- HVAC & CFC certifications are a plus but not required.
- HVAC/CFC Certification is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Respond to technical maintenance tickets.
