About The Position
Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a temporary Maintenance Technician to join our Plant Operations team! Perform medical center maintenance, including plant operations tasks and upkeep of the medical center grounds.
Requirements
- Willing and able to work in environment with/around medical center patients.
- Knowledge in the use of various hand and power tools.
- Able to operate vehicles such as truck, tractor, front-end loader, ATV, snow plow, carts, and hand trucks.
- High School diploma or GED.

- Knowledge in Carpentry
- Knowledge in Grounds keeping
- Basic knowledge of Hazmat regulations
- Basic knowledge of Handling of asbestosis products
- Basic knowledge of Local/state fire regulations
- Basic knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (use of)
- Basic knowledge of Underground storage tanks
- Basic knowledge of Generator operations
- Basic knowledge of Boiler operations
- Basic knowledge of State electrical codes
- Basic knowledge of State elevator codes
- Basic knowledge of ADA regulations
- Basic knowledge of OSHA guidelines
- Basic knowledge of State/federal building codes
- Basic knowledge of National Incident Management System
- Basic knowledge of National Incident Command System
- Basic knowledge of Medical center Incident Command System
- Low pressure Boiler license preferred.
- NIMS 100, 700 certificate preferred.
- Class A UST certificate is preferred.
- 1 to 3 years experience in commercial grounds-keeping and or maintenance preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain medical center campus grounds as outlined in daily tasks.
- Coordinate and complete special projects as assigned.
- Coordinate and complete daily preventive maintenance as assigned.
- Fulfill responsibilities for on-call duties as assigned.
- Monitor and maintain all building systems assigned.
- Completes work requests/ and follow-up.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Work within expense limits as outlined on specific tasks.
