About The Position

PLK Communities is an owner and manager of residential apartment communities. Currently, we are in search of a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician who can float between two communities, Lakeside Landing and Elevation 800.

Requirements

• Maintenance or "handyman" experience
• Apartment/multi-family maintenance experience a plus
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Tools (hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multi meter, Allen wrenches, pliers, knife, flashlight)
• Able to respond to afterhours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff
• Perform any and all property maintenance needs
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Completes work orders
• Basic Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Electrical Systems
• Mechanical Systems
• Small Appliance Repair
• Maintenance of the property grounds and common areas
• HVAC service and repair (willing to train)
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
