About The Position

To service and support manufacturing operations in the form of maximizing production output via expedient machine repair, procurement of repair parts, preventive maintenance, safety and maintaining building systems. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facilities. You will also support in machine operation as needed on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Previous experience in an industrial setting working with machine processes, schedules and a variety of individuals involved in the manufacturing environment necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to assist operators as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Valid electrician's license or certification preferred.
  • Good communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Experience with shop tools
  • Understand Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
  • Troubleshoot PLC’s (Siemens and Beckhoff)

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
  • Performs necessary repairs on equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Sign off on all machine operating and assisting tasks
  • Perform daily production operations (70% of role), including running equipment, assisting on equipment, monitoring line performance, and supporting operators to ensure consistent output and quality.
  • Provide maintenance support (30% of role) by troubleshooting equipment issues, performing repairs, and assisting with preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.
  • Creates and understands the work order process using SAP.
  • Problem solves issues concerning equipment operation and manufacturing processes where these relate to maximizing output.
  • Involvement in developmental project work including working with R&D, manufacturing and outside equipment and parts vendors.
  • Functions as part of the technical resources for the on-site staff.
  • Knowledge of procedures, work instructions and associated forms as required by the Key Area Leader.
