About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects of repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance related to production and engineering operations at Electronics. This includes troubleshooting and repair of equipment associated with all gas manifolds and the associated facility equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience, preferably in the chemical industry or industry related to fluid systems.
  • Knowledge of gas (pressure) system component theory and operation.
  • Ability to medically pass a respiratory test and physical test to wear a full face respirator as required.
  • Fitness for duty, including the ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Able to read and construct from a P&ID or Engineering drawing.
  • Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
  • General maintenance skills.
  • Tube bending skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation and/or modification of chemical processing equipment.
  • Repair and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment associated with chemical processing and other facility equipment.
  • Assist in promoting safety and organization in the maintenance department.
  • Continuously review and update Work Instructions.
  • Recommend preventative maintenance intervals based on repair data.
  • Execute the Preventative Maintenance Program and the Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program.
  • Specialize in Engineering improvement construction projects, ensuring well-defined scope and schedule reviewed by all affected parties.
  • Recommend spare parts inventory levels.
  • Write Purchase Requisitions for needed parts.
  • Perform all component rebuilds and calibrations.
  • Understand and follow the process flow within chemical processing equipment.
  • Perform valid leak checks.
  • Follow all work instructions and safety protocols.
  • Organize and sort information using available computer software.
  • Successfully complete all assigned training.
  • Actively participate on the client's emergency response (ER) team and ER entry team.
  • Maintain clean shaven status at all times.
  • Wear a full face tight-fitting respirator and a fully encapsulated (Level A) ER suit, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), or any other tight-fitting and/or supplied air respirators (SAR).
