About The Position

The primary function of the Maintenance Technician is to complete projects and repairs in regard to routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance in the hotel as directed by the Chief Engineer. This role ensures that guests receive prompt, professional treatment and courteous service in response to their maintenance needs. The technician will perform daily inspections to ensure property grounds and work areas are maintained to standard, and will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and security of the entire facility and grounds.

Requirements

Two years’ maintenance experience
General Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Diagnostics
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Able to bend and stoop
Able to climb ladders
Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
English verbal and written communication skills
Must have scheduling flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts including Days, Nights, Mid-Shifts, Holidays, Weekends, as well as on-call emergencies.

Nice To Haves

Hotel experience is a plus
Experience is preferred but not limited within the following areas: Swimming Pool Maintenance, Testing, and Treatment. Painting, Drywall, Plastering, Tile & Grouting, Basic Electrical, Low Voltage Electrical, Irrigation Systems, Basic Plumbing, HVAC, and PTAC's, Commercial Appliance Repair, Etc.

Responsibilities

Ensure that guests receive prompt, professional treatment and courteous service in response to their maintenance needs.
Complete all tasks, work orders and special projects as assigned by Chief Engineer.
Perform daily inspections to ensure property grounds and work areas are maintained to standard.
Be aware that all safety equipment and conditions are up to code, report any concern to the Chief Engineer or General Manager.
Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures.
Complete all preventative maintenance projects as assigned.
As assigned, maintain, monitor, and test the hotel’s emergency and security systems, features and procedures.
Be aware that all tools and equipment are in working condition, and up to code; report any concerns to the Chief Engineer or General Manager.
Maintain all equipment and tools.
Maintain entire facility & grounds.
Proficient in basic Building Services Engineering.
Perform property walks to ensure cleanliness, functionality and security.
Setup maintain and refresh function rooms as required.
