About The Position
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Great Lakes Management at the University Village Apartments in Minneapolis, MN. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $25 - $27 per hour. The role involves maintaining mechanical equipment, building fixtures, grounds, and completing work orders efficiently. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Minimum two years' experience in maintenance, preferably residential property management.
- Skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, doors & windows.
- Required to participate in an on-call rotation, 2 weeks off-call and 1 week on-call.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures and groundwork as needed.
- Complete all work orders quickly and efficiently.
- Report any problems/deficiencies.
- Knowledgeable of building codes and regulatory compliance issues.
- Interacts positively with all team members in maintaining census by immediately completing apartment turns.
- Maintain the grounds; trash, sweep, dumpster areas, snowplow, etc.
- Test the resident security systems as required.
- Assist with custodial duties which include but not limited to, trash removal, carpet cleaning, etc.
- Perform any maintenance task necessary as directed.
