About The Position

Responsibilities

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on all equipment as well as provides process troubleshooting as needed.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problem; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Removes/replaces defective parts in a safe manner.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed parts.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Must be able to do minor welding, brazing and cutting torch.
Be able to do minor repairs to truck, forklifts, etc.
Operate Jib Cranes and Forklifts in safe manner.
Wear safety equipment and obey safety rules.
Be able to make minor repairs to building through the use of masonry, carpentry and/or cement work.
Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
May work in other areas throughout the plant.
And / or other duties as may be assigned.
Report any Food Safety Problem to senior management.
Initiates purchase order requests for parts a machine.
