Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum five years of related maintenance experience or demonstrated abilities in mechanical/electric/hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Possess a demonstrated value for safety and willingness to participate in world class safety programs including providing peer to peer feedback and driving safety improvements as a matter of daily business.
  • Demonstrated value for safety and willingness to comply to safety policies and standards such as PPE, LOTO and fall protection.
  • Demonstrated self-initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision, and leadership.
  • Knowledge of maintenance equipment, tools, and techniques.
  • Possess strong technical curiosity and become a technical master in our core technologies.
  • Ability to communicate technical information both verbally and written.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, off shifts, be a part of a small group that handles call-in repairs, and periodic weekend work as business needs surface.
  • Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to teach others as we strive to grow basic technical skills and preventive maintenance responsibilities in our core operations.
  • Work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment across organizational boundaries as a member of a broader team.
  • Possess strong decision-making skills and the ability to see a project through to finish.

Nice To Haves

  • associate degree in related field preferred
  • Previous experience in Robotic operation, programming, laser or plasma cutters, electrical, welding, machine operations, CNC machines, or other specialty skills applicable to our business is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and improve plant manufacturing equipment, such as lasers, plate rolls and brake presses, using mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using schematics, multimeter, and other specialty tools.
  • Formulate and implement Preventive/Predictive maintenance programs and repairs using sound judgment and best-known practices.
  • Documentation and other recordkeeping of work orders and parts used in the Computerized Maintenance Database System.
  • Upkeep of plant infrastructure and subsystems including bulk gas and compressed air distribution systems.
  • Installations and start-up of new production equipment including layout.
  • Develop and implement improvement ideas to keep BOSS competitive.
  • Participate in safety systems across the plant.
  • Work closely with outside vendor service technicians, engineers, and electricians in the repair and installation of new/existing equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain building HVAC system.
