About The Position

Blue Water Hospitality is seeking enthusiastic team members to join its growing organization. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining property and equipment, as well as groundskeeping, to ensure daily operational requirements are met for optimal efficiency and to exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Experience in groundskeeping including, mowing, trimming, raking, etc.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age!
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a maintenance role.
  • A valid driver's license may be required (dependent on the property).
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with spa maintenance and testing is also a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of sprinkler systems is also helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain property equipment, fixtures, or mechanics.
  • Respond to management, staff, and resident maintenance requests and quickly execute the performance of requests.
  • Perform inspections of all buildings and common areas.
  • Maintain tools and maintenance equipment to ensure they are in good working order; keep the maintenance room in neat condition.
  • Perform low voltage electrical, heating, and plumbing repairs. Basic HVAC knowledge of boilers and forced air furnaces. Basic plumbing, such as changing out faucets, re-piping, replacing toilets, replacing sinks, and unclogging drains. Basic knowledge of sprinkler systems is also helpful.
  • Maintain all maintenance logs, work orders, and any other paperwork as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of common areas, including carpentry work, drywall, painting, staining, and other necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and always guest-ready.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provides regular and reliable attendance.
