About The Position

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients team at (1) of their properties in Richfield (55423). The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ experience in residential maintenance, have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. MagicPak experience is required for this role. Boilers experience is required for this role and ability to obtain license in 90 days after conversion is required. This role is contract to hire (30-90 days before conversion).

Requirements

1-3 years’ experience in residential maintenance
Experience with unit turns
Knowledge of basic maintenance
Self-motivated
Able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day
Self-sufficient
MagicPak experience is required
Boilers experience is required
Ability to obtain license in 90 days after conversion is required
Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check
Have a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance
Provide and use your own basic tools

Responsibilities

Refurbishing apartments prior to resident occupancy
Providing maintenance services to include light electrical work, light plumbing, general repairs of equipment, painting, carpentry, and limited extermination services.
Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
