Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Element Resources is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Forest City, Missouri. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment at the facility, utilizing welding, plumbing, and mechanical skills for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The technician will work under the direction of a supervisor or manager on an assigned shift and must perform duties in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Element Resources operates a leading battery recycling facility and has been a part of the Forest City community for over 30 years, playing a vital role in the supply chain by recycling batteries to produce new ones.
Requirements
- High degree of welding experience and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to organize and plan workflow.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Computer skills.
- Certification in the use of the following mobile equipment (training will be provided if necessary): Crane, Forklift, Loader, Manlift
- Must achieve passing score on pre-employment assessment
Responsibilities
- Repair and upkeep of all plant and mobile equipment.
- Communicate with Breaker, Refining, Maintenance, QA/lab, and other departments to insure continual process.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, flue pipes, water lines, and hydraulic systems.
- Install, maintain and repair all piping in the facility.
- Install, maintain and repair valves, hoses, fittings, bearings, gauges and meters in facility.
- Weld and repair all metal units in facility.
- Fabricate equipment and parts.
Benefits
- $2,500 sign-on bonus
- Starting pay between $30.00- $35.19 per hour
- Shift differentials of $1.20 and $1.45 per hour for C or D shift
- Eligible to earn an attendance bonus (8.4% of wages, paid weekly)
