About The Position

Roadtex Transportation has become a leader in the nationwide LTL industry, specializing in transporting time and temperature-sensitive products. We handle refrigerated and LTL needs by leveraging no sailing schedules, our nationwide network of 32 strategically placed temperature-controlled facilities, our state-of-the-art tracking, and our specialized equipment and warehousing capabilities. In 2022, Roadtex was acquired by Echo Global Logistics. The acquisition brings a truckload brokerage and expanded transportation management solutions to Roadtex's customers while providing Echo with our national warehouse footprint and advanced temperature-controlled transportation solutions. Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician ensures the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of all warehouse equipment, systems, and infrastructure. They lead projects related to equipment upgrades, process improvements, and preventive maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role will also include facility maintenance as needed for the three buildings on the Roadtex Warehouse Services campus.

Requirements

Certification in Mechanical Maintenance or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in equipment maintenance at a mid-size to large facility
Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, maintenance practices, and reliability engineering
Experience with project management and safety training
Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

Certification in Maintenance & Reliability (CMRP)
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance and repair of all warehouse equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and conveyor systems
Responsible for maintenance of 40-50 machines including tapers, printing labels, robots, etc.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to equipment
Combination of both mechanical and electrical repairs, such as lockout/tagout procedures and able to shut down via electrical panels
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
Develop and implement safety programs and training for warehouse personnel
Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams
Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality, and logistics, to resolve technical issues and improve operations
Management of overstock parts- ensuring they are logged and ordered
Train and mentor maintenance personnel on best practices in equipment operation, maintenance, and safety
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve operations.
