About The Position
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and facility systems. This role ensures optimal machine performance, minimizes downtime, and supports production efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This will be for a day shift Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. This person will need to be comfortable working night time hours and some weekend work if needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of maintenance experience required
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Solid basic computer skills, to include familiarity with MS Office programs and maintenance specific software
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
Nice To Haves
- Technical certification or associate’s degree, preferred
- manufacturing or injection molding environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on injection moulding machines (i.e. Engel, Cincinnati, Shibaura)
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
- Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment, such as dryers, chillers, conveyors, and robots.
- Facility Maintenance: Conduct general facility repairs to include lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components
- Support utility systems such as compressed air, water, and electrical distribution
- Process Support: Assist with mold changes as required
- Collaborate with process technicians and production staff to resolve equipment-related issues
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis
